A study published in JAMA Internal Medicine says that VIGOROUS exercise helps people live longer. Researchers reviewed data from more than 200,000 people ages 45 and up, comparing death rates to their exercise habits. Those who exercised harder lived longer!
The CDC reports vigorous activity includes:
- Walking at 5mph or faster
- Jogging or Running
- Climbing/Walking up a hill quickly
- Bicycling 10mph or faster and biking up hill
- Stationary biking
- Using a Stair Climber
- High impact aerobics
- Rowing
- Water jogging
- Jumping Rope
- Most competitive sports
- Circuit Weight Training
